What's the advantages of EMS electronic water meters?

Does intelligent electronic water meter need to have external power supply?

 

EMS intelligent electronic water meter contains build-in long lifespans lithium battery and don't need to have external power supply. Battery shortage is no longer a problem for EMS intelligent electronic water meter. 

The warranty period of the build-in lithium battery is 1 year.

Under normal usage condition, the build-in lithium battery has 8 years lifespan.

In terms of battery shortage, the intelligent electronic water meter will display battery shortage alarming signal and then the remaining lisespan of the battery has 2~3 months.  

 

 

What is data synchronous transmission?

 

The totalizer of the EMS intelligent electronic water meter will display the same values just like the values appearing on the meter reading interfaces. 

Once the communications between meter reading interface and the electronic water meter has been disconnected and then connected, the values between meter reading interfaces and the electronic water meter will stay the same. 

 

 

Is the digital encoding better than 4~20 mA and any other signals output?

 

Yes, of course. 

When the communications has been disconnected and then re-connected, the data can not be synchronized when the communication signals are 4~20mA and Pulse. 

However, EMS digital encoding will not face the same situation. In addition, EMS electronic water meter contains many more intelligent functions to effectively manage water resource. 

 

 

How to determine whether the flow meter is normal or not?

 

A normal flow meter should contain the ability to meter the flow rate accurately. 

If we want to determine whether the flow meter is normal or not, we should first check the accumulated flow rate. 

EMS intelligent electronic flow meter, containing intelligent management functions, can analyze the data among instant flow rate, leakage days, overload flow rate, static days, magnetic interference days, openness & closeness times which can be applied to determine the condition of flow meter effectively and efficiently. 

 

 

What factors should be considered when selecting a suitable flow meter?

 

First of all, we should consider the professional ability of the flow meter providers who should be able to supply the flow meter which is qualified of international standards. In addition, the flow meter should be calibrated regularly. Therefore, the flow meter providers should be able to issue a fair testing and calibration reports. Finally, after-sales services is also an important factor to be considered. The flow meter providers should be able to provide after-sales services, maintenances, related technical & regulations supports and services. 

 

 

What factors should be considered when installing the flow meter?

How to assure the fairness of the testing & calibration?

 

The flow meter should be maintained, tested and calibrated regularly so as to assure the accuracy of the flow meter and to prolong the lifespans of the battery. In addition, the wastewater metering flow meter should be calibrated in accordance with the laws & regulations. Therefore, the most important is that the flow meter should be sent to the verification units with credibility, such as CNLA (Chinese National Laboratories Accreditation)-proved calibrating & testing laboratories. 

 

 

Is it suitable to send flow meter to conduct calibration in ITRI and CPC ?

 

ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) and CPC (Chinese Petroleum Corporation) are CNLA-qualified calibration institutes. However, the fees of conducting calibration is much higher and the period of calibration is much longer. 

Besides, ITRI and CPC are not flow meter manufacturer and only provide flow meter calibration services.  They can not truly find out the real problem of the flow meter.
